چکیده

This document outlines a PHY proposal for IEEE 802.16.3 using a combined synchronous DSCDMA (S-CDMA) and FDMA scheme. The proposed PHY features adaptive QAM modulation, high-rate trellis and/or turbo coding, linear equalization along with power and timing control. Purpose To provide a description of a proposed physical layer specification for consideration by the IEEE 802.16.3 Task Group. Notice This document has been prepared to assist IEEE 802.16. Abstract High directivity low side-lobe antennas, when used for outdoor applications, significantly mitigate co-channel interference and enhance the data carrying capacity of a bandwidth allocation. For lastmile applications it is recommended that highly sectored cellular hubs, which incorporate high directivity, low side lobe antennas, be used to provide urban connectivity. Such hubs would ope...

Performance of Parallel Interference Cancellation Technique in Multistage Multiuser Detection for DS-CDMA System

The 3 generation mobile communication system will base on Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) system, because CDMA system can provide more capacity than TDMA and FDMA systems. But signal will suffer from the interference called Multiple Access Interference (MAI).This problem can be reduced by using multi-user detection technique. This paper examines the Performance of Parallel Interference Can...

Initial OFDM/OFDMA PHY proposal for the 802.16.3 BWA

We give a description of an OFDM/OFDMA system, which is planned to combat the wireless channels for under 11GHz. This PHY proposal is submitted for consideration for the development of the TG3 PHY specification. Purpose This proposal should be used as the baseline for the PHY specification of the TG3. Notice This document has been prepared to assist IEEE 802.16. It is offered as a basis for dis...

Title 802.16.3 Air Interface: an Outline Phy Proposal

The purpose of this contribution is to present an outline description of a proposed PHY for 802.16 TG3. Key characteristics of this proposal include (1) OFDM, (2) adaptive multibeam base station, and (3) TDD. In Section 1 discusses some background and motivation for these characteristics. Section 2 focuses on the benefits of using adaptive multibeam technique at the base station (not at the sub...
